The Kelowna Fish & Game Club, in partnership with the clubs from the Okanagan Region BC Wildlife Federation are raffling a Christensen Arms Ridgeline Rifle 6.5 PRC rifle and $1000 Gift Card for Great North Precision. Approximate total value $3800.

The Kal Flyfishers are into final preparations for the Kids Fish-Out at Polson Park on Saturday May 6-7th. Volunteers are needed to assist with the hands-on portion of the event (bait station, rod distribution and helping kids cast and land fish).

The Kelowna and District Fish & Game Club invites you to join us for an evening presentation on Region 8 wildlife.

Craig McLean, Biologist with Fish & Wildlife branch Penticton will provide a Region 8 wildlife update on recent surveys, research projects, sheep diseases and Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD).

All memberships are from January 1st to December 31st. 2022 memberships expire on December 31, 2022.

2023 memberships are now available online. New membership forms will be available at Del Selin’s Gunsmith, Kenkraft Sales, Meier’s Building Products and Canadian Tire Pro Shop.

A valid 2023 membership will be required to continue to enjoy membership benefits including insurance coverage and access to the range after December 31st.

2023 Vernon Fish & Game Club memberships will be available for purchase online as of November 15, 2022!

VFGC memberships are valid from January 01 to December 31 of each year. ALL MEMBERSHIPS EXPIRE on December 31st and must be renewed manually to continue enjoying membership benefits, including range use and insurance.

Saturday’s cleanup was a great success with 30+ volunteers from the Vernon Off Road Motorcycle Club, Vernon ATV Club and Vernon Fish and Game Club taking part as well as one member of the North Okanagan Cycling Society.

The effort was centered around the metal bin truck from ABC Recycling that Kane Blake from the OFTF organized to have on site for the heavy metal and the 40-yard bin that was donated and supplied by Randy Meier of LRM Contracting (also President of Vernon Fish and Game Club).

We effectively removed six tons of scrap metal and four tons of garbage from the watershed of Noble Canyon from the 2km area of Noble Canyon FSR on up to the 5km area of Becker FSR.

The Big Bore Turkey Shoot scheduled for January 9th has been postponed to January 23rd. The revised date is still tentative, pending confirmation of the Provincial Restrictions for COVID-19 at that time.
